Web design is a really fun realm. The sky is the limit. With easy access to cheap hardware and free software, as well as the availability of fast and cheap internet connections, web design is truly open to anyone. However, all of these things do not a web designer make. We all make mistakes, I know I do. So here is the first of  five common mistakes to avoid when designing your website.

Web Design Mistake #1: Too much is too much

Some experts probably wont agree, but what I consider to be a major web design turn off is a website that is too just busy. This can take a variety of forms.
A web design using too much software add-ons
First, you don’t need to add every free application and incorporate all of the newest software into your blog or website. I know the temptation is strong. There is a lot of really great free add-ons and applications for web designers.   Look at it from the point of view of a visitor. They are coming to your site because they think you might have something they want. That doesn’t mean they want to instantly bombarded with every clever little widget you could find. I think you get my point.
A web Design with too many images
This advice also extends to graphics. With the easy access to quick uploads and the explosion in photography hardware and image editing software. We have the temptation to upload everything. Just don’t do it. If your company has a new logo, that’s great. One sample will do. A good web designer will know where to draw the line.
