New computer hardware lineup October 29, 2010
Posted by martin in : News , trackbackKeeping in tune with the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show, here is a lineup of some of the newest gadgets arriving on the market for this holiday season.
Computer hardware-3M MPro120 Pocket Projector
This slim and trendy bit of hardware is about the size of an IPhone but a bit thicker. It is plug and play and when you attach it to another bit of hardware such as an IPhone or PC it allows you to project an image onto a flat surface. The software involved is simple and the reviews of this product are good; small, effective, and sleek. On the downside, some reviewers complain that the technology is not as well progressed as we would like. While it is certainly a leader in the product field, when enlarged and projected on a wall, this projector leaves a bit to be desired, but for smaller operations,it hits the mark.
Zomm-Mobile phone hardware
Zomm was a designed by a mom tired of losing her cell phone. Zomm is a small bit of hardwarethat fits onto your key chain and uses Bluetooth technology to pair up with your cellphone. It comes in black or white, is about the size of a key-less car key or car alarm. It prevents you from losing your cell phone as it emits an alarm if too much distance is put between your phone and your Zomm. Hold a button on the Zomm and the alarm will stop.
This is good enough, but to Zomm also acts as a hands free speaker phone, a GPS beacon and can even function as panic alarm you can use in a bad situation.
The Zomm runs around $80 and the The 3M MPro 120 pocket Projector starts around $299.
